In California we are blessed that the USPF, USAPL and AAU all run great meets, have great people and a very low bomb rate. And isn't it funny that these orgs. are generally considered to have tight judging and yet low bomb rates. The lifters here are just powerlifters who have fun, enjoy lifting and being with friends and family. I have not been to the other orgs. events in many years, but I assume the same applies.
"Real Lifters" and "Forum Lifters" are not really the same IMHO.
Don't bail from the sport. There is still a great powerlifting community in many places.
