raw DL, raw Bench

As a fan of great pissing matches, I second the motion to make this grudge-meet a raw DL + BENCH for a TOTAL.

Art has said many times that he can out-bench many people's deadlift and that even the most shriveled of pencil-necked geeks can pull 500.

Well that should make it easy for him to win that total. It's not a full meet, so the compromise gives more weight to the bench press which should make him happy.

Meanwhile, the meet is raw which will take any advantage that Tim has due to gear and eliminate the difference.

If Tim's deadlift can beat Art's bench, then he only has to match Art's DL.

As for the bodyweight difference, they can both go stuff themselves at a buffet, juice, whatever, and surely the difference won't make a helluva lot of difference, unless they want to go by Wilk's points to make it complicated.

sounds fun. maybe you should give the money to charity though, which would look a lot better on your taxes.
