American Open PL and BP Championships *LINK* *PIC*

The American Open National Championship events was created for the purposes of having an "every man/woman" National Championship event. This event does not have a qualifying total. The winner of each Open Weight class will qualify for the next USA Powerlifting Men or Women's National Championships, regardless of whether the total meets the qualifying mark.

We are very excited that USA Powerlifting has chosen to award PurePowerlifting.com this bid, here in North Eastern Pennsylvania. Year after year USA Powerlifting held large National Championship events here in this region in the 1970's and 1980's. Many of the great Powerlifters of all time come from the Keystone State and surrounding New England region.

We are going to do everything we can to make this National Championship a valuable experience all around. We are hosting the contest with-in 10 minutes of an airport, with a hotel the provides free shuttle service from the airport. Your entry will include a contest t-shirt, each lifter will receive a free coaches pass in their registration bag. Lifters will be able to compete with National and International judging. Lifters will compete on Internationally approved lifting equipment, including ER racks and Ivanko competition weights.

We believe this to be just the beginning of bringing back Powerlifting and we hope you chose to come participate in our event.
