Thanks Courtney! Mary always worked and trained super hard. She was so competitive, seemingly knowing what she had to do or felt like she had to do to win. We came from an athletic, competitive background, but when I was lifting consistently, I got the calculator out to see what I would have to lift to do what she did and would never come close. Our other sister was a tremendous diver and gymnast, one brother has won the (bicycle) Race Across America many times and other brothers were motorcycle racers. Ken Wheeler got her started right out of gymnastics at the old YMCA and Dave opened her eyes to how far she could take it. The rest of us still live in California, but she has been in WV for many years. Her son is a super athlete as well. Sports, achievements, and the fun it all brings, has come up at family functions for as long as I can remember. I think that is where the competitive nature comes from; "oh yeah, well I did ......, what did you do?" The coolest thing about Mary is how positive she is though! She always has something good to say. Thanks, Mike
