Here is a recent editorialk I sent in the local newspaper....it has facts and figures......show me yours.....
Liberals believe repeating a mantra long enough makes it true. Harry Truman left office in 1953 as one of the most unpopular President's in history. His February 1952 Gallup Poll rating was 22%; actually lower than Richard Nixon's 24% in August 1974 when he resigned. Public feelings toward Truman grew as years passed. He is now touted as a great President. George Bush's low ratings are appalling; the Liberal Democratic Congress of the past 2 years are lower by 10 points. Even if one continues to tell untruths, they do not magically become true. We can point fingers at every President & Congress for the past 50 years; it will not solve the problems. I want cheaper gas. Liberals say no. I want gas tax cuts (see Liberals in convulsion), immediate drilling everywhere; solar, wind, & alternative energy tax credits (2nd convulsion coming). A wall, NOW to secure our border; then discuss who should stay or go. Liberals say no. They are the most "DO NOTHING" Congress in history. Whom you elect in November will determine whether you want lower taxes & prices, continued legal killing of unborn babies, a myriad of other immoral activites & agendas (Gay Marriage) in this country continued. Liberals will give illegals a quick path to citizenship (bankrupting the Health System) so they can increase votes to secure wins (I guess they ran out of dead people). In a May campaign speech Hussein Barrack Obama is on record in his own words saying we should eat less, drive a small car & let families do with less energy in summer & winter. This is for all, except the Liberal Elite snobs like Ted Kennedy, Nancy Pelosi & Hussein Barrack Obama, who continue to buy carbon credits to ease their conscious without actually having to do anything to take responsibility for their appalling anti-American actions. We should all conserve; it should be a choice, not a mandate as they are so fond of instituting in the millions of 1984 Laws perpetrated upon this country in the past 50 years.
As for the economy I guess you have been reading to many liberally slanted magazines and watching too many far left news programs. The unemployment rate bottomed at 3.8 percent in April 2000, and started deteriorating steadily from there (during the Clinton administration). The fed funds rate — the overnight interest rate administered by Alan Greenspan and the Federal Reserve — peaked at 6.5 percent in 2000, and had to be lowered in an emergency move on January 3, 2001, "in light of further weakening of sales and production" (during the Clinton administration). The GDP growth fell off a cliff and had already crashed from almost 5 percent to near zero under Bill Clinton in the third quarter of 2000 (during the Clinton administration). It was at rock bottom when George Bush took over and despite the shock of the 9/11 terrorist attacks, growth started to revive in the fourth quarter of 2001 (during the Bush administration) and has been almost unstoppable until recently. Facts are facts. I do agree with you though that neither party in my mind has offered suitable candidates for the 2008 elections, but if I have choice between a moderate John McCain or a socialist and a marxist in the mold of Barack Obama, the choice is easy. We fought a lot of wars to be free of people who think just like him, so why elect one like him?
