Is it the gear or the training ?

Todays lifters get far more carry over than lifters 10 years ago out of their gear. Theres no doubt that the gear is a hell of a lot better than back then, but back then nobody done training for the gear, like bands, chains, board work. It was see how strong you could get raw and then put on the gear a month out from the meet. I believe if we would have done todays training that we would have got a lot more carry over out of the blast shirts and z suits. Also there was no way to get gear as tight back then with out tearing a shirt or suit as you can with todays gear. How many lifters today gets a lot of carry over out of todays gear, that dosnt do bands, boards, speed work, and chains, that does the basic progressive over load system that was the thing up untill 10 years ago ?
