John, I dont know you personally, and I do not know Elma, but was at the worlds last year when you had tears in your eyes trying to hand Gus an award when Donny stopped the meet for a minute between flights and Gus threw a little fit, not real impressed. I have been to two worlds and Gus Olympia meet once and Donny's meet a few times watching our eldest son. I wanted to say what I've whitnessed. Donny was actually wrong about letting 36 lifters from our team lift for free at his meet it was actually 42. I also know that Donny takes all the proceeds from his contest and blows it on free prime rib after the show and feeds everyone. He closes his practice for a week every year to help Gus mc these worlds. With the few contests I have attended I've seen Gus grab the mic and go into quite a speel and find it very recognizable in the above post. My sons claim Donny's reason for stepping down from state chair was because of the way Gus has treated a few poeple. Not sure what the conflict is but at any rate I will say he's lost a heck of an asset and credibility letting Dr. Donny slip through his fingers
