I will quote you Willie:::You cant compare the championships Ricky won to the championships today, or even the the ones of recent years. Back when he won his, everybody knew who the few national, and world champions was. There was elite lifters back then, that couldnt even win a state, or regional meet. It was back when powerlifting was competitive, all the national and world champions was awesome in his era. Today, and even the last 20 years, championships, most anyway, have been a joke, compared, to the 60's, 70's and 80's . Today over half of the lifters calling theirselfs national champs, are class 2 lifters .

100% FACT!
As we said we could put my wife(who hasnt squated or benched ) and put her in one of the 200,000 feds and more than likely she could pull out a record.

But back dureing Bridges,Crains,Kaz etc there was no doubt.
Now i wasnt the best when i competed but even in the early 90s i went for numbers .
Cause half the time there might not be 2 guys in my class.

As far as real world champions or the best of the best,i am afraid it wont ever happen.
