Of course, each lifter is different, and each lifter's recovery rates would be different as well . . . "Overtraining" must be avoided to make any progress. . . .
So, I would recommend learning they symptoms of overtraining, (tired, sore, lack of enthusiasm, worsening of attitude, etc), and then train as much as you can without overtraining . . . If your workouts are going backward, if you are not enjoying your workouts, you are probably overtrained. . . . .
I'm a 60-year old Master, and I squat on Monday, DL on Thursday, and Bench on Saturday. . . That way, there is a full week after each lift before that lift is performed again, and the lifting days are themselves spread out. . .
Of course, RECOVERY is the key, so do not neglect your sleep, rest time, and nutrition . . . and maintain a stress-free lifestyle, as much as possible . . . . . Supplementation is quite important. . . .
But, as one lifter said: "I'm not overtrained, I'm just under-recovered!"

Hope this helps a little . . .
