I agree with you totally. The traditional good morning that I learned so many years ago in physical education class is unbearable; can't get much weight on it either. When my knees are locked out; it's hard for me to get my back flat. If I bend my knees just a little the way I would for a bent over barbell row for the back; I can use mroe weight and go down to parallel with the floor.
You know I've never thought about whether or not I get a good chest pump when bench pressing; mostly I just want the weight to keep going up without sacrificing form or hurting myself.
