I feel that dumbbell deadlifts and reverse hyperextensions really stregthen the lower back muscles so that I can barbell deadlift. I barbell deadlift every week whether it is from the floor or in the power rack.

Mind you when I am talking about dumbbell deadlifts I'm not talking about using light weights and doing a lot of repetitions.
